The Recommended Workflow
MudShark has been designed so you can takeoff from plans as accurately and quickly as possible, and you can insert a wide variety of digital plans.
MudShark works best with vectorised plans, specifically DWGs, DXFs, and some PDFs. A vectorised format will include layer information, so you can use some of the automatic tools to speed up your takeoff. MudShark will still allow you to import BMPs, PNGs, JPGs, as well as non-vectorised PDFs and most common image formats.
